Improve bank statements import

I’ve uploaded CSV export from FINOM, and all transaction details are lost, making expense/revenue matching very difficult. When provided, the details should be kept, and used (for instance, a wire payment mentionning the invoice number should match the corresponding invoice)

Yes please! it’s so slow because even if 0, 1, or 2 line items for a lesser-used account, you have to extract and it’s like 5 clicks & screens & loading. Bulk upload should just accept all bank statements and have an Auto-Extract so we can quickly get to the approval screen please! @Antti Laitinen :) this will make it almost like an api so we can download all statements and upload all here, spend our credits quickly, buy more credits etc. Please consider this.

as an aside, I tried uploading mine and it thought they were expenses and put the names/descriptions in the folder in what I guess is Swedish although it was inenglish so it’s hard to tell my files apart since same title.

Yes, CSV feeds desperately need better handling. The current system is designed more for PDFs, while CSVs could be used by only matching the headers to SparkReceipt fields. This has been on my mind for a good while now.

Sure. And I would not mind spending (once) 10min to fine tune the import rules, as the CSV format will stay (as long as I don’t change my bank :-) )

If you want some ideas on the import/matching UX/UI, have a look at Mailjet contact import feature, it’s rather efficient
