Make view filters (user filter particularly) persistent across view switching
When reconciling my uploaded data, I am normally working on multiple entries from the perspective of a specific user, account, or transaction type. At present the view filters reset every time I change entry, requiring me to reset the view filters every time I change view. This is laborious and frustrating.

Processing Receipts as PDF not JPG
Currently receipts are exported as JPGs. The benefit of using PDFs instead would be you could standardize on PDFs for everything instead of supporting jpg&pdf pdf can be full text searchable for further user processing you could even embed the extracted receipts metadata into the pdf for user document search pdf viewer components already exist and can be reused so users get zoom/paging etc accountants expect PDF receipts more then JPG receipts keeping receipts as PDF is standard so users don’t get surprised and disappointed that Spark uses JPGs

auto categorization error
when changing a transaction categorization, the system would force change it back. I had no automation in place for this, I checked to be sure. the only way to get it to stop and let me make the manual change to the transaction’s category was to delete the category that it was getting forced to by the system.

Month locking
Hi, it would be useful if we could block a month when we are done with the expenses. This way when we add a new expense it could not be put in that particular period. This would prevent date errors by the system (ex.: 08/11 instead of 11/08). Thanks

Automate line item extraction
It seems a very inefficient and tedious task to have to - one by one - click (and then wait) to issue and process the “line item extraction” process, for both bank statements, and receipts, etc.

Related Receipts
I think there needs to be a way to relate receipts. For example, your own subscription generates a receipt from SparkReceipt as well as one from Paddle. I feel it is important to keep both but have the receipts joined. There are other products that generate two receipts - one from the vendor system and one from the subscription management system. It is important to be able to find the subscription via both vendors. I suspect there are other use cases for the ability to merge receipts also.

Upgraded to Elite, now my reports don't show GST or PST
I could never get SparkReceipt to split the GST and PST correctly. It always lumped them together as a 12% tax and applied the GST label at 12% tax. If I manually split it, then the reports would be correct. Now that I’ve upgraded to elite, the GST and PST are on individual line items. I can’t seem to get it to automatically label those tax lines as GST or PST. When I do manually label them, the excel report shows $0.00 GST and $0.00 PST, but shows the tax rate at 12% (BC: GST is 5% and PST is 7%), with the correct subtotal and total.

Paste from Clipboard
Having the ability to paste captured screenshot from clipboard and paste it into the web upload. Useful for Mac and Windows Snipping tool. ATM, I save screenshot to disk. Upload it manually using website, and then have to delete to file created. This should save some steps. Especially with Amazon purchases since they don’t really have a way to download an invoice other than print to pdf

Remove Item Confirmation - Mass Upload Task
When editing expense documents from the Mass Upload Task results list, the confirmation to remove a Line Item pops up behind the document editing frame. You have to close the document editing frame to answer the removal confirmation dialog. Only in the Mass Upload results view, not in search or other document editing locations.

Manual Entries for Per Diem and Car Mileage
I use Spark receipts to consolidate all my business travel expenses, that then get submitted to the company I work for. I could not find a way to add expenses like Per Diem or Own Car Mileage. In our company I am entitled to a fixed Per diem for each day I travel. Ideally I would like a separate expense type where I enter number of days and I could define the rates either in the entry form or have them configured in Settings. For example Saudi Arabia = 100 USD per day. Each day should be a separate line item. For Car mileage it would be date, description, total km and rate per km.
